Paper guidelines – All papers submitted for consideration of inclusion in the SC26 proceedings will be required to follow SC26 guidelines (e.g. length, format, bibliography, etc.) for consideration. CAFCW deadlines for submission as well as SC26 proceedings deadlines must also be followed including camera-ready papers. A bibliography should be included and use the IEEE format for conference proceedings.
Submissions will be reviewed and judged on correctness, originality, technical strength, alignment to expressed aims in the call, quality of presentation and interest to workshop attendees. Papers that do not follow these guidelines or do not make required deadlines will not be included in the proceedings but will still be considered for inclusion in the program among submitted abstracts. Submissions should be in PDF format.
Submissions not conforming to these guidelines may be returned without consideration or review.
Note: Per SC26 requirements, an in-person presenter must attend if your submission is accepted. All presenters and attendees must pay the SC workshop registration fee.
August 15, 2026 – Deadline for submission of CAFCW papers for SC26 Workshop Proceedings. Full papers submitted on or before August 15 will be considered for inclusion in the SC26 proceedings. Submissions must meet SC26 technical paper submission requirements. See details at this link.
Proceedings papers not meeting requirements or submitted after August 15 will be reviewed as abstracts. Submissions for abstracts only will be accepted until September 5 at the submission site.

Call for Abstracts Details
The Computational Approaches for Cancer Workshop welcomes submissions from all contributors working on or employing computational methods, mathematical models, computational technologies, data science, and data resources across the broad range of cancer applications to advance cancer research and improve cancer care. Even a limited set, examples span applications in genomics, drug discovery, clinical data science, image analysis, analytics, predictive modeling, algorithms, educational resources, visualizations, digital twins, clinical trials, data sharing, collaboration tools, machine learning of all forms, and computing all with a connection to cancer. The diversity of applications is a strength of CAFCW to hear about new developments across the landscape of cancer and computing.
In addition to the general call for abstracts special emphasis area is selected for each Computational Approaches for Cancer Workshop. The special emphasis topic for CAFCW26 is “HPC Unites Patient, Clinic, and Research to Improve Cancer Care” which is seeking submissions where HPC or computational methods are used in a role to help connect research to clinical application to patient impact.
